Why LinkedIn Is Not Always Good?

For Sending Commercial and Business Offers
09.08.2023   Evgenia Yagodina

Firstly, not all LinkedIn users will carefully read a commercial offer sent through this social network. LinkedIn is primarily used for establishing business connections and job searching. Therefore, directing your targeted request through email may be a more direct approach. It also demonstrates that you have individually researched the market and the receiving company, which avoids generating a negative reaction.

Secondly, not all decision-makers and individuals are present on LinkedIn. Some may be unavailable or simply ignore this platform.

Thirdly, message filtration should be considered. Sending commercial offers through LinkedIn can result in messages being marked as bad or even lead to account suspension, based on the community guidelines and rules.

Fourthly, privacy settings can impose limitations. Many LinkedIn users prohibit receiving unsolicited correspondence, especially high-ranking employees of large corporations, when LinkedIn is used as a personal PR tool rather than for making business decisions.
